The Hamilton Bermuda Hospitals Board public reception desk has been closed until further notice.

Bill Shields, the chief financial officer of the BHB, said that face-to-face contact had to be restricted because of the “high risk of coronavirus infections”.

The office, in Craig Appin House on the city’s Wesley Street, was used by patients to pay medical bills.

Bills can still be paid by phone at 239-2955 or 239-2954 from 8.30am to 4.30pm Mondays to Fridays.
