Bridgewater takes on BHB finances in interim role
Craig Bridgewater, a chartered professional accountant with more than 30 years’ experience in investment management, insurance and banking, has been announced as the interim chief financial officer at Bermuda Hospitals Board.
Mr Bridgewater will oversee the organisation’s fiscal responsibilities and financial operations after former CFO Arthur Ebbin finished his 13-year tenure last week.
Mr Bridgewater has held senior leading roles in financial governance and reporting, regulatory compliance, operational transformation and people management.
He has served as senior executive vice president and group chief financial officer at Butterfield Bank, and his background includes senior finance positions at KPMG in Bermuda and the US as well as at Orbis Investment Management Limited.
Judy Richardson, BHB’s acting chief executive, said Mr Bridgewater had served on its board since February and came with “a strong understanding” of BHB operations and finances.
She added: “We will shortly begin a full recruitment process for a permanent chief financial officer.”
Collin Anderson, chairman of the board, said the group had “full confidence in his ability to guide the finance team during this transition period”.
