Bermuda Captive Conference to expand its lineup

The upcoming Bermuda Captive Conference is gearing up to offer a new session due an expanded offering from Bermuda’s commercial insurance and reinsurance market.Organisers of the event, scheduled for June 9-12 at the Fairmont Southampton, say that due to the expanded offering, they are adding an additional healthcare session to the conference agenda. The second healthcare session will focus on how the Bermuda commercial market is providing insurance and reinsurance support to captives and their parent companies. It will also discuss the Bermuda commercial market’s role in providing protection to captives globally as well as protection to the US healthcare system. This year’s conference, organisers say, promises to be the most collaborative in the history of the event. The conference will provide delegates with a full overview of what Bermuda has to offer. “With greater support from the local reinsurance market and companies like ACE, XL, Catlin, Endurance, Ironshore, AIG, Allied World and American Safety, delegates will find the Bermuda Captive Conference comprehensive and informative,” a statement from the event’s organisers said.“I am extremely encouraged to see the level of support we have received this year from the commercial market,” said Peter Willits, chairman of the Bermuda Captive Conference. “We have the opportunity to bring the event up to an even higher level of relevance and excellence than in the past. The quality of delegates, speakers, and sessions will no doubt lend itself to a hugely successful event. Delegates will hear from major players on the world stage,” he said.“Due to a very positive response from the commercial market we have added the additional healthcare session to the offering, and I am looking forward to a stellar event,” Mr Willits added. The Bermuda Captive Conference gives attendees the opportunity to catch up on what is going on in Bermuda, a global force in the captive market as well as listen to industry specialists, network with captive owners and managers, and take part in discussions on hot topics and how they will shape the future of this industry. The Bermuda Monetary Authority will be available throughout the conference to answer regulatory questions. For more information and to sign up, visit the Bermuda Captive Conference website at www.bermudacaptive.bm or contact Rhona Emerson at info@bermudacaptive.bm.
