Kane appoints new fund administration chief

A Bermuda-based provider of insurance-linked securities has appointed a new executive.Kane LPI Solutions has picked Matthew Charleson to head up its fund administration services.Kane LPI’s John Uprichard said: “The fund administration sector is a very competitive one in which having the highest calibre of team members is critical to maintaining and strengthening your market position.“The appointment of Matthew is therefore a key hire for us. His extensive management expertise and excellent reputation for service delivery will ensure he plays a leading role in our efforts to further enhance our capabilities and expand our client base.”Mr Charleson, a chartered accountant, moved from Bermuda-based Prime Management, where he was senior manager. Earlier, he was audit manager for accountancy firm Ernst & Young after moving to the island from London in 2008.He said: “Kane LPI is a very dynamic and innovative organisation. In recent years, the team has clearly demonstrated their ability to design and deliver bespoke administrative solutions, as well as offering flexible service models that adapt to the changing demands of clients and their markets.”Kane LPI is a branch of global independent insurance managers Kane.The subisidiary was set up in April this year as a fund administrator and to act as the head office for the firm’s life, pension and investment administration activities.
