Andersen Global collaborates with Alexanders to establish Bermuda presence

First Prev 1 2 Next Last

International professional services firm Andersen Global has established a presence in Bermuda through a collaboration agreement with law firm Alexanders, Barristers and Attorneys.

Andersen said the collaboration adds coverage to its global platform.

Founded in 2005, Alexanders’ primary focus is corporate and trust law. It provides services to corporate clients and high net worth individuals, which Andersen said complements the US member firm’s practice and the global organisation’s ability to meet clients’ cross-border needs in Australia, Canada, Africa, the United Kingdom and globally through its member firms and collaborating firms.

Andersen also noted Alexanders’ specialisation in the areas of intellectual property registration and law, investment fund formation and law, insurance company formation and law, and admiralty and maritime law.

James Watlington, founder and principal of Alexanders, said: “Our top priority is delivering best-in-class solutions to our clients locally and abroad, and our ability to do that has been and continues to be a key contributor to our firm’s success.

“Collaborating with Andersen Global reinforces our commitment to our clients and our ability to provide seamless solutions globally. Our combined resources and shared dedication to stewardship lay a solid foundation for the development of this synergistic, working relationship with the member and collaborating firms of Andersen Global.”

Mr Watlington added that his colleague, Belaid Jheengoor, was “instrumental in establishing the relationship with Andersen Global”.

Mr Jheengoor, a chartered accountant who plays a broader role within Alexanders Group, is based in the organisation’s London office.

The Group is a boutique, multidisciplinary professional services firm of which law firm Alexanders, Barristers and Attorneys, forms a part.

Mark Vorsatz, global chairman and CEO of Andersen, said: “The firm’s team are industry leaders with extensive knowledge of and experience in this important market. Their broad scope of services and drive to serve clients at the highest level are complementary to our global platform.

“Our collaboration in Bermuda is another significant step in our organisation’s expansion strategy as we continue to develop comprehensive coverage and solutions for our clients globally.”

Andersen Global also recently announced agreements with law firms Higgs & Johnson in The Bahamas, Baptiste & Co in St Vincent and the Grenadines, Misick & Stanbrook in Turks and Caicos, and Emmanuel Jacques Almosnino in St Barts.

Andersen Global said it is an international association of legally separate, independent member firms comprised of tax and legal professionals around the world. Established in 2013 by US member firm Andersen Tax LLC, Andersen Global now has more than 7,000 professionals worldwide and a presence in more than 256 locations through its member firms and collaborating firms.
