A partner in the Bermuda office of international law firm Appleby has been given a top ranking in the 2021 Chambers Global High Net Worth Guide.

Vanessa Schrum, group head of the firm’s private client and trusts practice in Bermuda, was ranked in Band 1 by the international guide.

And Caljonah Smith, a senior associate in Bermuda, is listed as an “associate to watch” by Chambers.

Lawyers from Appleby’s Cayman Islands and Jersey private client and trusts practices were also ranked highly.

Carlos De Serpa Pimentel, group head of private client and trusts, said: “We are extremely pleased to be so well recognised in the recent rankings from Chambers Global in their Chambers High Net Worth Guide 2021.

“These rankings are a reflection of the excellent abilities of our private client lawyers across our global team. It is thanks to their dedication and consistent hard work that Appleby has been continually highly ranked in this guide since it was first introduced.”

Chambers and Partners is one of the world's leading reference and ranking bodies for the legal sector, delivering in-depth independent research to identify and rank the most outstanding firms and practitioners.
