Apex launches disruptor forum

Apex Group Ltd, the Bermudian-based global financial services provider, in partnership with the Digital Leadership Forum, has announced the launch of the Financial Services Disruptor Forum powered by Apex Group.

Conceptualised and driven by Apex Group, the FS Disruptor Forum brings together leading industry change agents to deliver a series of exclusive interactive events, expert panel discussions and workshops.

These platforms are designed to catalyse positive change in the industry and engage with topical subjects and trends which are driving the financial services industry forward.

Apex Group said it has grown into a leading global financial services provider, disrupting the industry with its mission to deliver all the services an asset manager might need through its single-source solution model.

Employing more than 9,000 people and servicing $2.4 trillion of assets, Apex is vocal about its purpose to drive positive change and lead the industry, not only through service innovation, but through its focus on women’s empowerment, the environment and social mobility.

Apex said the FS Disruptor Forum will empower and inspire financial services leaders, enabling decision-makers to share their challenges and solutions, fostering an environment of collaboration for a more sustainable and agile future.

The agenda of the FS Disruptor Forum has been designed by disruptive leaders across the sector, for the sector.

It is led by a diverse steering committee comprised of some of the sector’s leading lights, with representatives from global financial services providers old and new, including the Bank of England, Starling Bank, Barclays, Canada Life, Clifford Chance, CMS, Coutts and Standard Chartered Bank.

The inaugural FS Disruptor event, Equity for Women in Financial Services, will be held tomorrow (Wednesday) from noon until 1pm BST (8am until 9am Bermuda time).

Upcoming events will focus on the themes of The Future of Global Payments and Digitised Finance, Engaging a Purpose-Driven Audience, Aligning Portfolios with Climate Goals, How Disruptive Forces will Radically Transform the Industry, What New Trends Will Disrupt Financial Services? and Innovation Mindsets.

Rosie Guest, chief marketing and communications officer, said: “The FS Disruptor Forum powered by Apex Group is a think-tank for change in our industry.

“We want to challenge the way the sector thinks about change, whether that be around social mobility and inclusivity, improving gender disparity and equity for minority groups, how it drives the agenda on sustainability, or the way in which it services clients in a more nimble, agile and digital-first way.”

She added: “It’s about bringing together the change leaders and disruptors, across our industry, and outside, to learn, push the boundaries and challenge one another to do better, both in terms of ESG and operationally.

“We believe the industry needs to change faster, and we are proud to consider ourselves a disruptor for positive change. The Disruptor Forum encourages our peers to do the same delivering an ecosystem that promotes both diversity of thought and allyship, to enable (r)evolution.”
