Hannah Ross is new Biltir director

Hannah Ross of The Argus Group has been appointed to the board of directors at the Bermuda International Long Term Insurers and Reinsurers.

Ms Ross is chief strategy and capital officer at Argus, where she leads a team covering group actuarial and risk, capital and finance, and strategic programme delivery.

A fellow of the Institute of Actuaries UK, Ms Ross has worked at Argus since 2010, and previously held actuarial roles in London with KPMG, Synesis Life and Pension Insurance Corporation.

“I am delighted to join the Biltir board,” said Ms Ross. “I look forward to working with the Biltir directors, in particular as we navigate key Bermuda-based issues relating to the economy, social and corporate governance and diversity, equity and inclusion.”

Martin Laframboise, Biltir executive director, said: “Hannah is an experienced leader with deep knowledge of the local market.

“Her appointment means Biltir has now a local Bermudian company at the highest leadership level, which is key to support our mission and strategic objectives.

“I’m happy to have Hannah joining the Biltir board of directors and extend a warm welcome.”

Biltir represents 66 life re/insurance businesses and servicing companies in Bermuda, which employ more than 600 people on the island.

The Argus Group is a multi-line insurance and financial services company offering a full range of insurance, pensions and investment products targeted at local and international organisations and individuals.
