Terri Pizzuto has been nominated to join the board of directors of Bermudian-based Triton International Limited

Bermudian-based Triton International Limited, the world’s largest lessor of intermodal freight containers, has announced that Terri A Pizzuto has been nominated to join its board of directors.

Ms Pizzuto will be included as a nominee in Triton’s 2023 proxy statement and, if elected by shareholders, will join the board as an independent director after the company’s annual general meeting on April 27.

The company said Ms Pizzuto has nearly four decades of executive financial experience, most recently serving as executive vice-president, chief financial officer and treasurer of Hub Group Inc, a publicly traded supply chain solutions provider that offers multi-modal transportation services throughout North America.

Seven directors were re-elected at the annual general meeting of Seadrill Limited, the Bermudian-based offshore drilling company.

Julie Robertson, Jean Cahuzac, January Kjaervik, Mark McCollum, Andrew Schultz, Paul Smith and Ana Zambelli were re-elected to serve until the next AGM or until their respective offices are otherwise vacated in accordance with the bylaws of the company.

Shareholders also approved an increase in the number of directors of the company to nine and authorised the board to fill the vacancies of two directors.

The board of directors of Teekay Corporation, the Bermudian-based provider of international crude oil and other marine transportation services, has authorised a new share repurchase programme for the repurchase of up to $30 million of the company’s outstanding common shares.

Teekay said it has completed a previously-announced $30 million share repurchase programme.

Under that programme, the company has repurchased 6.45 million common shares, or approximately 6.3 per cent of the outstanding common shares immediately prior to commencement of the programme in August 2022, for a total of $30 million, which equates to an average price of $4.64 per share.
