Appleby's Hannah Tildesley will be speaking on the subject of contentious trusts at the Transatlantic Wealth & Estate Planning conference in New York on September 13.

The conference brings together trust experts from the US and Europe.

This year, the agenda will include discussions on trusts, family issues, tax and immigration. One focus is wealth and estate planning for US citizens and people with interests in US assets.

Ms Tildesley, a partner in Appleby’s Dispute Resolution team in Bermuda and head of the firm’s contentious trusts practice, will be on the Contentious Trusts and Litigation panel at the conference.

During the panel, a number of subjects will be discussed, including protectors, sham and illusory trusts, directed trusts and the use of data access requests and third-party disclosure applications to attack trusts.

Ms Tildesley has extensive experience in banking and funds litigation, appraisal proceedings, director and shareholder disputes and contentious trust disputes, and is often engaged in matters that are multi-jurisdictional and involve complex cross-border issues.
