Apex Group, the Bermudian-based global financial services provider, has appointed a former diplomat to its India advisory board.

Navdeep Suri completed a 36-year career in the Indian Foreign Service in 2019, having served in the country’s diplomatic missions in Cairo, Damascus, Washington, Dar es Salaam and London and as India’s consul general in Johannesburg.

The company said he also served as India’s high commissioner to Australia and ambassador to Egypt and the United Arab Emirates and has been acknowledged for his role in promoting trade and investment links with these countries.

Mr Suri is a distinguished fellow at the Observer Research Foundation, the Delhi-based think-tank, and a respected commentator on a range of foreign policy issues with a particular focus on the Middle East.

In his new role with Apex Group, he will be focused on helping the company to navigate its global, multi-jurisdictional business.
