Baron named head of Coinbase Bermuda
Jeffrey Baron has been appointed head of Coinbase Bermuda, the island operation of the global cryptocurrency exchange.
Mr Baron, a Bermudian, has served as chief operating officer of Coinbase Bermuda since 2023 and his promotion took effect on September 11, Coinbase said in a statement today.
In his new role, Mr Baron will lead the company’s Bermuda strategy and operations, including business execution, governance and regulatory engagement, Coinbase said.
“Jeff brings strong operational judgment, deep knowledge of Bermuda’s regulatory environment and a clear commitment to Coinbase’s success,” said Liz Martin, head of Coinbase Institutional.
“His appointment builds on the leadership he has already demonstrated and positions our Bermuda business for its next phase of growth.”
Mr Baron has held executive and regulated appointments at digital asset businesses under Bermuda’s Digital Asset Business Act since 2019, including chief compliance officer and senior representative roles.
“Bermuda has an important role in Coinbase’s international business,” Mr Baron said. “My focus is to continue building a strong local team, delivering disciplined growth and deepening the relationships that support our long-term success here in Bermuda.”
