We need to work together

January 27, 2011Dear Sir,This is directed to Paula Cox, the LEADER of The PROGRESSIVE LABOUR Party. While the PLP ploughs ahead with the running of Bermuda, I would like to strongly suggest that, instead of putting out large amounts of money for foreign consultants, the PLP party uses the qualified minds of our local talent for the aiding of the ingenious decisions made for all of us. They need to use the likes of John Swan, David Dodwell, Bob Richards and David Gibbons. These individuals have an enormous wealth of knowledge and loyalty to Bermuda, that would be nothing but beneficial to the running of any Government.Between the members and MPs in the PLP and the above mentioned individuals, there should be good dialogue for the betterment of all of us in Bermuda. Take a page from President Obama and use the intelligence and local knowledge of our own, regardless of party. In my opinion, we have misused the race issue and party politics in a way to cause nothing but conflict and disenchantment among an entire community. There clearly is an urgency to put aside our differences and move forward together for all our sakes. Stop denying that we are in trouble, take criticism as constructive and let’s do something positive about improving our situation as a united country.SYDNEYPaget
