Rider's despicable action

Dear Sir,As I was riding my bike along Harbour Road yesterday afternoon, taking in the beauty of my surroundings, I began to think to myself how wonderful Bermuda is and how lucky I feel to be able to call this my home. Suddenly, out of nowhere a man on a bike came speeding up beside me and tried to muscle his way into my driving space whilst verbally accosting me because I didn’t let him cut in front of me. I kept driving and told him that I was merely riding my bike and minding my own business when he preceded to purposely ram his bike into mine, causing my bike to crash and throwing me over the handlebars and into the middle of Harbour Road, on a blind corner. As I hit the ground and went skidding across the road, I watched him drive away and unfortunately couldn’t make out his licence plate number as my vision was a bit blurred from the fall.I am appalled with the lack of humanity and consideration for fellow drivers on the roads of Bermuda these days. What he did was truly despicable and I feel that he threatened my life by his actions.I can only hope that this loser does not do this to another innocent rider, especially someone with a child on board. This incident has not only left me with a sprained wrist and horrible road rash all over my body but also a very expensive repair bill to have my bike fixed. This totally unnecessary, unforeseen burden could not come at a worse time for my family of six as that very morning I had just brought my wife and new baby home from the hospital. It is truly a shame that dirtbags like this never seem to be held accountable for their actions and only manage to taint their own community by giving Bermuda a bad name.BRADLEYWarwick
