Do what is right
August 5, 2011
Dear Sir,
So if homosexuality, which is sexually immoral, is a lifestyle choice and homosexuals wish to be formally protected under the Human Rights Act based on sexual orientation, then we need to consider the adulterer, bestiality, paedophilia and incest. If the excuse to engage in homosexuality is simply because they can not help it or they were born that way, then the same can be said about paedophiles, incestual acts, bestiality and those who commit adultery. The difference between them is that all but the homosexuals do not promote their sexual orientation publicly because of their shame. In closing I would like to say that I do not hate homosexuals. I am a seeker of the truth and I have found nothing more true than the word of God. As I am on my own spiritual journey, I urge my fellow Islanders to do what is right, not what feel is right. To the homosexual community I will leave you all with Matthew 5:43-44, which tells us to love on another and God's law is superior to the law of man. Proverbs 2:11 says “Discretion will protect you and understanding will guard you.” May peace be with us all.
