Guides say thank you

Family and friends and Brownies wait for the start of the Bermuda Girl Guide Association annual Thinking Day Service at the Anglican Cathedral.

Girl Guides give thanksFebruary 27, 2012Dear Sir,On behalf of the Council, Leaders and Girls of Girlguiding Bermuda, I would like to express sincere thanks to all in Bermuda who so generously supported us on our Tag Days held on Friday and Saturday, February 17 and 18. Through your generosity, we were able to raise approximately $12,000 and these funds will assist us with unit support, training for girls and leaders, etc.We extend special thanks to everyone who tagged for us Council member past and present, former Guiders, parents and our girls and leaders. We are also grateful to the various organisations who gave so willingly of their time The Orchid Charity Club, The Bermuda Reading Association and to those businesses that allowed us to tag on their premises. Your support of our endeavours is greatly appreciated. We also extend very sincere thanks to everyone who was involved in organising our Thinking Day Service held at the Anglican Cathedral on Sunday, February 19. It was a memorable occasion for all, despite the inclement weather. While it is impossible to single out individuals, please know that we are most grateful to you all for your efforts in making it a success. And finally a big thank you to the Somerset Brigade Band and the Bermuda Islands Pipe Band who are always willing to accompany us and who give so freely of their time each year.SHIRLENE DARRELLIsland CommissionerGirlguiding Bermuda
