March 23, 2013Dear Sir,A recently published letter regarding anonymity of letters has sparked public debate, evidenced by comments exercised in the ‘blogs’ attached to this medium.Many of the opinions stated, reflect the acceptance/concession of the concept of intimidation, and subsequent victimization/discrimination, of those whom ideals or principles, differ from an oligarchy.Therefore, it begs the question, what is the real issue? Is it control from a psychological aspect? That our community is fearful of challenging the ‘status-quo’, conceding individual perceptions?There’s an adage ‘Being popular isn’t necessarily right, and being right isn’t always popular’.GLENN CHASEWarwick
