April 29, 2013Dear Sir,To the group who partied on Elbow Beach at the weekend and left dozens of bottles scattered around the beach, we say shame on you. We collected four grocery bags of bottles, together with other garbage. If others followed your example we would soon have a garbage dump instead of our beach, which none of us would enjoy.It would help if the Parks Department provided more than a single garbage bin on the beach. Each weekend the bin is overflowing with bottles, plastic, styrofoam and paper.We ask that in future, if you plan to have a party on the beach, that you either leave your trash by the bin or take it home, rather than leave it to two seniors to clear up your mess.TWO OAPSPaget
