Summoned or invited?

June 5, 2013Dear Sir,Can you please be a little more responsible when reporting issues dealing with the fact that we are still a British colony. Using the word ‘summoned’ in your current headline and first paragraph only starts up the angst (again). Your article then goes on to use the word ‘invited’ which, I think, is probably more correct.I was going to submit the following comment (on the website story), but then decided that the majority of people who now do that are interested only in venting their own opinions, so I decided just to ask that your reporting be more accurate and not contradictory: “In your headline and first paragraph you use the word "summoned" quote Bermuda has been summoned to a London summit unquote. However, in the third paragraph of your article you state that, according to UK media reports, senior ministers from 10 territories including Jersey, Bermuda and the Cayman Islands have been invited to a meeting this month.Anything to keep Bermuda the pleasant and respectful place she was and can most certainly be again.RUTH INGHAM
