It’s fun being a Girl Guide
Dear Sir,
We are girls from St Patrick's Guides. We meet once a week. The reason why we are writing to you is not to complain about anything, but to share how much fun being a Girl Guide is.
First of all, we get to earn badges. This is always hard work, but very fun and rewarding. Sometimes we do them as a Unit, or a patrol (that is the small Guide-lead groups inside each Unit), or even individually. The badges we earn often help us for life. For example, the last badge we earned and worked towards was one called “Independent Living”. The badge helped us learn about bank accounts available to youth, as well as getting us thinking about money we spend each week.
This makes Guides sound boring, but we have a lot of fun. Every year we go camping on Paget Island. We have to sleep outside in the tents and cook outside. It is always so much fun.
We just wanted to share how much fun Girl Guides is.
