Dear Sir,

Once again many thanks — Bermuda.

Please allow us to use your newspaper for this heartfelt thanks and gratitude of thanks to our community.

A special thanks to the Market- Places for the use of all their premises for the Tag Day, which was held on Saturday, November 29, 2014, this past year for “Share the Christmas Spirit” programme.

We gave out approximately 222 bags, 103 boxes and supplied 227 families with food hampers, without you the public donating non-perishables this would not have been another successful project.

At a time when so many families are finding it very difficult to make it, our hope is that we were able to help in some small way. As Chairperson of Share the Christmas Spirit, I am personally taking this opportunity to express my gratitude to Mr Gary Schuman, President, Latricka Simmons, Natalie Rego, Rita Pereira, Alberta Waite of the MarketPlaces and especially Mr Joseph Cheeseman for his unvarying hard work in picking up the goods from East to West, including all schools that donated to this worthwhile project.

Mr Roger Pacheco from Pacheco’s Farm and his staff, for once again donating the fresh vegetables that were placed in the food hampers. Lions Geraldine Waldron, Debbie & Dudley Cottingham, Stephen Dean, Cora Woods, Edna Dill, Jean Stovell, Dawn Simmons, Maxine Burns, Joan Joslyn, Walter Wilson for their continued dedication and commitment to this project in wrapping boxes and preparing the food hampers. We are also most grateful to the following: Wakefern Corp., Bermuda Press Holdings Ltd., Lionel Raynor, Richard Soares, BGA, P.T.B., Butterfield & Vallis, The Fairmont Southampton, HSBC Compass Point, Mr. Freeman Lema, B.A.C., Jones Dry Foods Store, KEEN Ltd., to those Lions, family members and friends who delivered Islandwide. Thanks to all Government Pre-schools, Primary, Middle and High Schools, Bermuda Institute S.D.A. School and B.H.S. for girls for their generous contributions. May God continue to bless each and every one of you and your families in 2015.
