Dear Sir,

My wife and I recently visited Bermuda. We went so that my wife could participate in the Bermuda Plein Air Festival. The event was extremely well run and truly showcased the beauty of your Island.

We were able to explore the country from end to end. The lovely colours of the water, architecture and foliage were impressive. It was easy for the painters to find worthy and paintable subjects at every turn. The art that the artists produced during that week will be seen abroad and will introduce to a greater audience the beauty that is to be found in Bermuda.

We understand that it was the Bermuda Tourism Authority that sponsored this event. We would like to express our thanks and appreciation for the opportunity that this event provided. We would not have visited Bermuda if not for this event and we are glad we did.

We will return with our family for a vacation. We are impressed with your Island’s welcome and hospitality.

Everyone involved was welcoming, friendly and courteous — right from the volunteers running the event, to the sponsors and the people of Bermuda passing by in the streets.

Locals would wish us “good day”, offer advice on attractions and even help us with bus schedules, sometimes without even being asked.

The island of Bermuda is a gem in the Atlantic, indeed.
