Political system is divisive

Dear Cordell W. Riley, Lynne Winfield and Curb,

I believe that you and I, Curb and Bermuda must address our political system if we are ever to eradicate racism in Bermuda.

Both Plato and Aristotle were unimpressed with democracy, which is, in most forms, a kind of competition between different parties seeking election. This sets groups against groups and majority against minority.

Bermuda must progress to a different system of governance, as I believe that every five years, at election time, Bermudians are promoted to divide into groups along racial lines, and therefore much of Curb’s tireless work is fruitless.
