Dear Sir,

I was deeply saddened to hear of the loss of Shawn Crockwell on Saturday, June 10, 2017.

The political landscape in Bermuda will never be the same again. Not only was he a great orator and statesman, but he had an infectious smile and a thirst for learning that few men can emulate.

He had the capacity to touch the hearts of people from all walks of life.

What he packed into 47 years of life most of us will not complete in two lifetimes.

To his beloved parents, Juanita and Howard Crockwell, Shawn is asleep for now. Know that you did your level best with the help of Jehovah God to nurture and raise a very special young man, whom we all grew to know and love as one of our own in Bermuda.

Revelations 21:4 “And He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be any more. The former things have passed away.”

To Curtis, Shauntino, Maya, Mark, Juanae, and the family and friends of Shawn Crockwell, I pray that Jehovah God will grant you peace and serenity at this difficult time.

My hope is that as we rally around the Crockwell family, in support, at this sad time, that we will truly learn to love each other as brothers.
