What hospitality from Bermudians!
Dear Sir,
I am writing to comment on the hospitality we received while visiting your beautiful island.
My husband and I arrived on your island on September 1. On the Monday, which was a holiday, we decided to drive to Shelly Bay Beach and spend our day there. When arriving, we noticed several “local” people setting up tents to have picnics with their families.
We found our spot under a tree and set up a couple of chairs and a blanket. We were greeted by a lady sitting next to us. As her family arrived, they all said hello and asked us how we were — this included the children. Everyone was very respectful and friendly.
As the day progressed they started their barbecue. When the food was ready, a young girl approached us and asked us if we would like to join them for dinner. How wonderful and refreshing it was.
We both were so impressed by their friendliness and hospitality. What a wonderful way to begin our vacation.
Thanks to them and the people of your island. You are raising your children to be respectful citizens and your friendliness to tourists will keep us coming back.
Most times we hear about the bad things going on around us; it is so nice to be able to write a good story.
