Thank you for supporting the deaf
Dear Sir,
The Bermuda Islands Association of the Deaf would like to thank each and every one of you who gave precious time collecting and those who generously donated money to the charity at our recent tag days.
Importantly, awareness was also raised for the need of the deaf community to receive sign-language interpretation of Emergency Measures broadcast by Wayne Caines, the Minister for National Security, throughout Hurricane Humberto, thanks to Diane Gordon, disaster manager of the Red Cross, and Inspector Stephen Cosham of Bermuda Police Service. Thank you to our tireless interpreters and to you, one and all.
We are equally grateful to the following businesses for permitting us to tag near or outside their premises: Butterfield Bank, Robertson’s Pharmacy, Harrington Hundreds, People’s Pharmacy, Supermart, Lindo’s and not least, Rita Pereira for granting us permission to sell tags at all MarketPlace outlets across the island — a huge thank you.
