Bermuda must get to grips with violence – ‘see it, sort it and report it’

Dear Sir,

The answers are in the world. Why does it have to always be ten years before we act on things?

In London, advertisements are on billboards and announcements are made in train stations and Airports, which read/say: “See It, Sort It, Report It”.

This has been proven to work to reduce crime. Now, in Bermuda, if you see something illegal, you must be quiet. If you say something, you are labelled as a snitch and quite easily could be shot for it. We have a few bad persons, like 1 per cent of the population, holding everyone else hostage.

Most people are good people; we just need to start “See It, Sort It, Report It”. Keeping quiet is killing us.

Are we that weak that we can’t defeat 1 per cent? Come on, strong Bermudians. Let’s get together now.

We can save young men from dying.
