Giving thanks on behalf of the children

Dear Sir,

Once again we are asking to use your newspaper to thank our Bermuda community for their unwavering support for our recent tag day held on October 21, 2020.

Grateful to community: Dessaline Waldron (File photograph by Akil Simmons)

Special thanks to the following: the Corporation of Hamilton for granting us permission. To business owners, managers who allowed us to tag from their premises, The MarketPlace stores, The Supermart, Lindo's Group, Harrington Hundreds, Arnold's Group, Phoenix Stores, King Edward VII Memorial Hospital and Port Royal Esso Service station.

Thanks also to the Eastern Lions Lioness Club, the Paget Lions Club, Kiwanis Club and to those other individuals who offered an hour or two from their busy schedule to tag for us.

This feeding programme started approximately 17 years ago under the leadership of the late Corrine Burrows Dummett, who realised that some children here in Bermuda were not having breakfast or lunch.

The funds raised locally stay here in Bermuda and definitely help us feed our children.

We are pleased to inform you that we raised a total of $4,941.80.

Once again, on behalf of Feeding the Children's Ministry team and volunteers, we thank you, Bermuda. Our prayers are that God's blessing will abound.
