The art of being selfish
Dear Sir,
I call it the “I” and “me” syndrome. It’s all about me when it comes to being obedient and caring, which I am not.
So what if I choose not to wear a mask when out in the company of others.
So what if I stand too close to you.
So what if I speed on the roads at all hours of the day or night.
So what if there are rules and laws in place which I choose to ignore.
So what if people are getting sick.
So what if people are dying in a hospital bed or on some road.
So what!
So what about me?
Well, it’s all about me; at least it was.
I know now that I was not 100 per cent immune to any disease.
I know now that I was not invulnerable to being hit by a bike, car or truck.
I know now because I have become the latest statistic.
I know now that I am where I am because of someone just like me.
Signed from the grave,
Selfish
