Library houses a special Bermudian

Bermuda National Library

Dear Sir,

As a visitor for 42 years and extended-stay visitor for eight, I sometimes call attention to why Bermudians are so special.

When I am at home in Maryland, I receive e-mails from the Bermuda Library. Today (January 16, 2024), I stopped by the library to make sure my card was active.

I mentioned to the librarian how much I enjoy the informative, artistic and colourful e-mails, which include information about events and books.

I had the pleasure to meet events co-ordinator Kenisha Shakir, who creates the e-mails.

If you live in Bermuda, you should sign up for the e-mails. They are informative and suggest books covering many subjects.

It was a pleasure meeting the creator and artist — a special Bermudian.
