Butterfield Bank yesterday announced yesterday announced that senior international trust practitioner Martin Pollock has been appointed managing director of its wholly-owned subsidiary, Butterfield Trust (Bermuda) Ltd.

Mr Pollock, a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland, has worked in the international trust business for more than 15 years. Mr Pollock said: “I am delighted to be joining Butterfield in Bermuda and I look forward to working alongside such a professional and dedicated team as we contribute to the continued development and growth of Butterfield’s Trust businesses.”

Bob Moore, executive vice-president and head of Group Trust welcomed Mr Pollock’s appointment.

“We continue to invest in our people and technology to grow the $38.5 billion of fiduciary assets currently under our administration,” Mr Moore said.

“I look forward to working with Martin and everyone on the Bermuda team to build ever-closer relationships between our Trust companies and businesses around the world and further strengthen our competitive position in the international trust business.”
