Organisers of the annual Coldwell Banker Home Show yesterday said vendors felt it was the “best ever”, with many leaving with new business in hand.“The mood was upbeat and happy,” said agency manager Susan Thompson. “People were excited about the show and for the first time in several years the weather was favourable.“There was a steady stream of visitors all day with many people arriving before the official opening time of 9.30am on Saturday.“For the second year in a row we opened to the public from 3pm until 8pm on Friday with many taking advantage of these extra hours.”In particular Ms Thompson said the Age Concern 50+ Lifestyle was “a huge hit” with people staying for hours to enjoy the presentations, demonstrations and free advice. She added: “Many vendors felt this was the best show ever with most leaving with new business in hand. Many have already inquired about signing up for next year. Attendance was at an all-time high of approximately 3,700.“Buyers loved the online presence, innovative tools to assist with property search and the ‘green approach’ with less paper. A number of buyers have made plans to work with an agent to look for a property.”The show, which has been held since 2002, took place at CedarBridge Academy.Among the dozens of exhibitors were Bermuda Realty Coldwell Banker agents, telecoms providers, insurers, law firms, car dealers, home and building supplies stores and contractors, charities, banks and more.
