Bermuda Bookstore has opened a new store at the airport - and since it’s in the check-in area it’s open to everyone. It is the second location for Queen Street, Hamilton landmark, the Bermuda Bookstore.Owner/manager Hannah Willmott said with the Book Cellar in St George’s planning to close, East Enders won’t have far to go for a good book.“You don’t have to be flying to visit us!” she said. The book store is located near the American Airlines/Delta check-in area.“We are open whenever there are outgoing flights which at the moment is 6.30am to 3pm and then again from 5pm to 7pm (except on Mondays and Saturdays when there is no BA flight).“We opened in November and we sell all kinds of books children’s, adults, fiction, non-fiction and Bermuda books,” Ms Willmott said. “We also sell a small range of candy and travel essentials.“We decided on opening at the airport because bookstores and airports just go together. Travelling is a great time to catch up on your reading and books make great last minute gifts for people you are visiting.”Ms Willmott added: “We also like the fact that you don’t have to be travelling to visit us. As we are outside of security anyone can come by and our prices are the same as the Hamilton store so any East End people who don’t want to go into town can come and see us. And, of course, having a second store allows us to employ another Bermudian on a full-time basis.”
