Wireless cable company WOW is now offering HD TV to existing and new customers.Offered at no additional cost, customers can view five sporting channels in high definition splendour, including ESPN, SPEED (motor sports), Golf Channel, NBC Sports and Fox Soccer.WOW, the “smallest but growing” cable provider in Bermuda, says it is attracting new clients with its offer and is looking to provide another ten channels in HD, two more sport networks and eight lifestyle channels like HGTV, Food Network, National Geographic and Lifetime within the next six to eight weeks.“We haven’t confirmed everything yet but we’re looking to offer a nice variety,” said Stanley Wright, president and CEO of WOW.To view the new high-def channels, existing customers will have to upgrade, at no additional cost, to an HD TV cable box which also adds DVR capability.So far, says Mr Wright, customers are happy.“We did a soft launch two months ago and will be doing a more formal launch soon but so far it’s been going very well,” he said.WOW offers two basic cable packages — the basic package of $40 per month and the Classic package at $68 per month, which includes select premium movie channels.The company also said that it is looking into providing connectivity to Internet Service Providers (ISPs) as part of their service package.
