Two Bermuda hotels have earned 2013 TripAdvisor awards for being highly rated by travellers.Grotto Bay Beach Resort said yesterday it had received a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence award. And once again, Royal Palms has also been awarded a Certificate of Excellence.“For the second year in a row Grotto Bay is pleased and honoured to receive TripAdvisor's Certificate of Excellence Award,” said JP Martens, Grotto Bay’s general manager.“We strive to offer our customers a memorable experience, and this accolade is evidence that the hard work of our great team here at Grotto Bay is translating into many positive traveller reviews on TripAdvisor.”The accolade by the world’s largest travel website honours hospitality excellence. It is given only to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding traveller reviews on TripAdvisor, and is extended to qualifying businesses worldwide.The award places Grotto Bay in the top-performing 10 percent of all businesses worldwide on TripAdvisor.To qualify for the Certificate of Excellence, businesses must maintain an overall rating of four or higher, out of a possible five, as reviewed by travellers on TripAdvisor. Additional criteria include the volume of reviews received within the last 12 months.
