Freisenbruch-Meyer Insurance Services Ltd.(FMIS) has announced it has been invited to be a member of Assurex Global as the exclusive ‘partner’ in Bermuda.

A press release announcing the invitation stated: “After a thorough vetting process, the world’s largest privately held commercial insurance, risk management and employee benefits brokerage group invited Freisenbruch-Meyer Insurance Services Ltd to be a member of Assurex Global as their exclusive partner in Bermuda.”

The Assurex website states: “ ... you receive local service on a global basis. You don’t have to manage relationships with separate brokers in multiple countries — your local broker remains your principal contact.

“In the other markets where you have needs, Assurex Global brokers with expert, first-hand knowledge of the local insurance, regulatory and environmental requirements serve as your eyes and ears on the ground.”

In Bermuda, FMIS provides insurance agency, broking, underwriting and management services to the domestic and international markets.

FMIS explained that Assurex Global is a partnership of independent insurance agents and brokers, and has more than $28 billion in annual premium volume and more than 600 ‘partner’ offices.

It explained: “The group is headquartered out of Columbus, Ohio and leverages its global network as having the best independent brokers in their respective markets. Each partner is evaluated on integrity, breadth of service, overall quality, commitment to serve their clients, history of growth and market position.

“A significant benefit of being an Assurex Global Partner is the convenience of eliminating the ‘middleman’ broker by directly communicating with the local partner as principal contact.”
