Bermuda firm joins forces with US talent agency

A Bermudian management firm has joined forces with a US talent and development agency to provide a chance for would-be Island stars to shine on the international stage.

PlayList Management (PLM) has teamed up with Atlanta firm Studio 27 Model and Talent to offer coaching for hopefuls in the performance arts.

And the link-up means that Bermudian performers will be able to audition for parts in movies, TV shows, adverts, and fashion and modelling shows in America.

A PLM spokesperson said: “This is very exciting for PlayList and they will be seeking interested local talent in the early fall.”

“Bermuda very seldom has the opportunity to sit in front of industry professionals.

“This opportunity will provide a better connection for local talent and showcase their abilities internationally.”

Studio 27 and PLM will also be offering local talent the chance to participate in a national talent showcase, Talent INC, in Orlando, Florida.

A select few students from the PLM Developing Artist Programme will be interviewed by top industry professionals and agents in the United States, including New York, LA, and Atlanta.

These students were chosen from among those who participated in the Summer Hollywood Bootcamp launched by Studio 27 this summer.

A PLM spokesperson said: “This up-close and personal one-on-one programme with the studio’s coaching staff provided clients training in acting, singing, modelling, songwriting, and choreography.

“Clients attending the programme left industry-ready with a resume, headshot and a beginner’s reel.

“The Bermudian students were given the experience of a lifetime: taking back home real life training needed to jump-start their career. These talented clients are now ready to showcase their talents to industry professionals.”
