Tree surgeon Selley completes training
After undertaking intensive training in Wales, Curt Selley has returned to Bermuda as Brown and Company's newest tree surgeon.
He completed an eight-week City and Guilds/National Proficiency Test Council training programme in arboricultural practices with ProClimber Training in South Wales.
Mr Selley received training and certification in chainsaw maintenance and operation, felling, tree climbing with rope and harness and aerial rescue, tree pruning and safe operation of chainsaw from harness and safe operation of brush chippers, stump grinders and bucket trucks.
He has now rejoined Brown and Company's tree unit and will put his training to use as a tree surgeon carrying our residential, commercial and utility tree surgery, pruning, felling and management, and will continue to develop his arboricultural skills and knowledge.
In a statement, Brown and Company said the addition of the certification for Mr Selley demonstrates the company's “commitment to provide continuing professional and personal training and development to our staff and we are pleased to have assisted him in achieving his certifications”.
