Lighthouse Medical Supplies Ltd opened its doors yesterday in Pembroke.

To mark the its grand opening, the store at 14 Cemetery Road held a special event to allow people to test its medical supplies and equipment, while employees were on hand to answer questions.

“It was a good turnout,” Yana Swainson, Lighthouse Medical’s chief executive officer, said.

Westley Miller, ear, nose and throat specialist, took part in the ribbon-cutting ceremony. “I am just glad people showed up and had a good time,” he said.

Healthy snacks were available and there was a special area on the first floor for those with mobility issues.

Ms Swainson thanked sponsors of the event, including Barritt & Sons Ltd, Bermuda Waterworks, Positive Results, Peoples Pharmacy and Roberston’s Pharmacy, Ettrick Animal Hospital, Salveo Therapeutic Services, Atlantic Vision, B. N. Henagulph Podiatry and MarketPlace.

Store opening hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm, Saturday 9am to 3pm, closed on Sunday.
