ACT’s OneCloud reaches Bermuda milestone
ACT OneCloud has taken on its fortieth customer in Bermuda, only three years after setting up.
The company states it is the island's largest provider of on-island cloud services. It also has a presence in Cayman Islands, Canada, the US and UK.
On welcoming its fortieth customer, Dave Bart, chief executive officer, said: “This is a significant achievement for our organisation. OneCloud was built from the ground up and after an initial integration period we have been successful in building out the most stable and reliable cloud-based platform anywhere in Bermuda or the Caribbean region for that matter.
“Overall demand for cloud services in the Bermuda and Caribbean market continue to grow at a rapid rate and ACT OneCloud is uniquely positioned to capitalise on the emerging trend.”
OneCloud is a proprietary platform, however it can also offer services for complete integration into global public clouds such as Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services.
Mr Bart said the company had made significant investments to strengthen its platform, including SOC 2 certification, a pending ISO 27001 accreditation and a round-the-clock network operations centre.
OneCloud has also successfully launched its platform in the Cayman Islands this year.
Mr Bart said: “Our entry into the Cayman market is another major achievement for our platform. Our stated goal is to enter a number of strategic markets over the next two to three years and be reliably known as a global offshore provider of cloud services.”
