A new salon in Hamilton opens its doors tomorrow.

Impressions Artistry is above Casey’s Lounge, at 25 Queen Street. It is a second location for the business that was established in 2004; the other outlet is Impressions Artistry salon and beauty supply store on King Street.

The full-service salon will feature specialty hair treatments and nail services and a retail section that showcases hair and beauty products designed to complement the salon and nail services provided.

Vivian Millings, owner and master stylist for Impressions Artistry, said: “We are very excited to open our second store. For over 16 years, Impressions has been a valued beauty establishment in our community. Our new addition on Queen Street is sure to become our customers new go to place for their hair and beauty needs.”

Mrs Millings designed the salon, giving it a “glamorous Hollywood feel” with “a warm and inviting team of talented artists dedicated to their craft”. There are three full-time stylists, including a natural hair specialist and braid specialist, and a nail technician.

“Despite Covid-19 restrictions and the other stressors of 2020, we were determined to pursue our vision of creating a luxurious and relaxing environment where our stylists can flourish with their creative talents and where our clients can escape from their everyday life,” Mrs Millings said.

She is an entrepreneur with nearly 20 years of experience in the beauty industry and is also a teacher of cosmetology at CedarBridge Academy as well as the internal verifier for the City and Guilds cosmetology programme at Bermuda College.

She has also been working on the expansion of the beauty supply shop on King Street. Mrs Millings said: “Our new location allows us to better focus on our salon services and extend our client base while giving us the ability to increase our product offerings and more efficiently utilise the space at our King Street location. We want our customers to know that they now have two easily accessible locations to find all the hair and beauty products and services they will ever need.

“Many places sell hair and beauty products, but what makes us different is the wealth of knowledge our professionals have about all the products we carry. We can expertly advise our customers on the types of products that will work best for them and help them target a challenging hair or scalp condition more effectively.”

Impressions Artistry’s salon menu includes haircuts using “cutting-edge techniques”, and services ranging from colour, colour correction, and relaxers, to silk pressing, weaving, specialty hair treatments, extension braiding and nail services.

The business carries luxury bundles, pre-stretched braiding hair, crochet hair and other products. In addition, there are salon brands such as Moroccan Oil, Nairobi, Design Essential, Keracare, Mielle, and TGIN.

Appointments can be booked by calling the salon on 292-4898.
