First Prev 1 2 Next Last

Five entrepreneurial Bermudian women are to appear on a virtual panel tomorrow at a global summit that organisers say will reach an audience in more than 120 countries.

The panel, “Bermuda and Beyond: Spotlight on Covid Innovations and Entrepreneurs”, will take place at 10am.

Appearing will be Lorene Phillips, founder, Clarendon Wallace; Danielle Paynter, creator/owner of The NAB App; Leah JM Dean, founder and CEO, Conduit International Ltd; Melissa Looby, managing director, Pulse Group; and Colina Outerbridge, owner, Quantifi Consulting Services.

Anu Bhardwaj, a serial social entrepreneur, philanthropist and the summit’s organiser, will moderate the panel.

On Thursday, Bermudian Alex Marshall, founder of BermudaChain, will be among seven people on the panel, “Qrypto Queens Roundtable – Celebrating Men Powering Women in Blockchain and Deep Tech”, about getting more women involved in blockchain and crypto. That panel begins at 1.15pm.

Organisers say the Amplifying Her Voice Father’s Day “Stronger Together” three-day summit celebrates “men who have empowered the voices of women and girls around the world as we discuss new paradigms in reshaping the global digital economy”.

They added that the summit celebrates the launch of The State of Women Podcast Network in partnership with The State of Women Institute, Shequonomi podcast platform, and Women Investing in Women Digital.

Topics covered during the summit include blockchain, digital assets, fintech, artificial intelligence, women in space exploration, global women’s entrepreneurship and leadership, podcasting, and healing and wellness.
