Simon Davis is made a partner at BeesMont Law
Simon Davis is now a partner at Bermuda law firm BeesMont Law.
Since joining the team six years ago, Mr Davis has built up BeesMont’s property practice to cover all areas of local residential and commercial property law. Mr Davis has also continued the development of BeesMont’s banking law practice.
Before that, Mr Davis worked as a senior associate with MJM Limited in Bermuda, in the property, trusts, and estates team. He also worked in the United Kingdom prior to 2005, as a real estate solicitor covering an equally wide range of property work.
“I am honoured and very excited to be appointed partner of BeesMont Law, a niche law firm with a commitment to delivering high quality legal work and excellent service to our clients,” Mr Davis said. “I thank the partners for recognising my work and for this appointment, and I look forward to expanding our property practice and continuing to contribute to the growth and strength of the firm.”
Sharon A Beesley, BeesMont chief executive officer and partner, said they were delighted to welcome Mr Davis to the leadership team at BeesMont.
“Over the last six years, Simon has proven himself to be an extremely talented, hard-working, and diligent professional who leaves no stone unturned in his efforts to assist his clients and colleagues alike,” she said. “He is a very thorough and careful lawyer, having built BeesMont’s property practice from the ground up to become what it is today, an extremely valuable and integral part of our overall practice as we continue to appeal to clients locally and internationally.”
Mr Davis received his diploma in legal practice, with commendation, from the University of Bristol, England, and completed his law degree, with honours, from Coventry University, England. Before enrolling as a barrister and attorney in the Supreme Court of Bermuda in 2008, he was admitted as a solicitor (not currently practising) of the Supreme Court of England and Wales in 1999. Today, he remains an active member of the Law Society of England and Wales.
In 2020, BeesMont went through an in-depth restructuring process, which has allowed the firm to focus on strengthening its operations. In addition to adding Mr Davis to the leadership team, BeesMont recently opened up its new office space at 73 Front Street, Hamilton, which is not only a central location for clients but offers a high level of privacy and the opportunity to expand.
