Dhesi appointed CEO at BAS

Navdeep Dhesi has been appointed chief executive officer of Bermuda Aviation Services Limited.

The announcement, made in a filing with the Bermuda Stock Exchange, said Ms Dhesi’s appointment was effective January 1.

She was formerly chief operating and financial officer for BAS.

David Pugh, chairman of the board of directors at BAS, said: “We are very pleased to have Ms Dhesi at the helm of BAS. She has developed and leads a committed management team, each of whom play an integral role in the everyday running of the various BAS subsidiaries.”

The company said the management team consists of Jeff Cook, general manager of Weir Enterprises; Christopher Wright, general manager of BASFM; and Steven Douglas, general manager of Otis Bermuda.

BAS is a holding company with multiple subsidiaries providing services that are distinct in nature but are also strategically complementary and synergistic, it said.

Companies in the group include BASFM, Otis, Weir and Eastbourne Properties Limited.
