The Bermuda Economic Development Corporation is about to launch the next cohort of their Think Like an Entrepreneur programme.

The course helps budding entrepreneurs establish goals and manage risks. It is based on the award winning Ice House Entrepreneurship Programme.

“The course is designed to reveal new opportunities, ignite one’s ambition and foster the skills that will empower individuals to reach new heights as an entrepreneur,” the BEDC said. “The curriculum for the course draws on eight fundamental concepts that can empower anyone to success.”

Think Like an Entrepreneur will be led by Dennis Carter and Ray Lambert of the BEDC’s small & medium enterprise office.

The BEDC introduced the programme to Bermuda in 2015.

Mr Carter said: “We are excited to guide another group of aspiring entrepreneurs through the Ice House programme curriculum and look forward to hosting them in person with the hope to increase collaboration and innovation within the participants.

“We know from previous cohorts that there are dozens of creative and unique business ideas floating around in people’s heads, and what this course does is help participants develop the mindset, skills and confidence to start working towards creating a tangible business whilst in an engaging and collaborative environment.”

Participants will learn how to develop an entrepreneurial mindset, identify and evaluate entrepreneurial opportunities, establish goals, manage risks, and build a successful brand.

The eight-week scheme will aid in developing cross-discipline entrepreneurial attitudes, behaviours and skills.

Think Like an Entrepreneur will be taught at the BEDC main office, bi-Weekly, on Tuesdays from June 21 to September 27 from 6pm until 8.15pm.

The Think Like an Entrepreneur course usually costs $300; however, it has now been reduced to $150. The price includes course materials including the book Who Owns the Ice House? and access to an online learning portal.
