Saturday banking returns to Butterfield

Butterfield has announced the return of Saturday banking and opened a new 24-hour ATM vestibule on Front Street in Hamilton.

Starting today, the Reid Street banking centre in Hamilton will be open to clients from 10am until 3pm each Saturday.

Butterfield said all over-the-counter and personal banking services would be available and a member of the consumer lending team would also be available to assist with loan and mortgage inquiries.

The ATM vestibule, at 67 Front Street, features three new ATMS, a no-wait deposit box, a coin counter machine and a direct telephone line to the Butterfield call centre.

The bank said the vestibule could be entered by inserting or tapping a debit or credit card on the card reader to the left of the door.

Shawnette Griffin, Butterfield’s head of retail banking and operations in Bermuda, said: “We are delighted to be able to expand our in-person operating hours into the weekend once again, making banking more convenient and accessible for our clients.

“The opening of the vestibule not only gives our clients another safe and climate-controlled place to manage their finances, but is all part of our renewed commitment to improving the availability and reliability of our ATM network.

“We continue to invest in our client experience and look forward to sharing additional exciting developments soon.”
