Joe Vieira buys waste and refuse removal business QRS
Entrepreneur Joe Vieira has bought QRS, the waste and refuse removal business, from Island Waste Management Ltd.
A new company, QRS Ltd, has been formed.
Mr Vieira has owned and operated Joe Vieira Trucking Ltd for 25 years.
He said: “As a result of customer requests for additional trucking and haulage services, I have been actively looking at various options in order to expand strategically.
“QRS currently provides products and services that we also provide so this acquisition made sense for us as it will allow us to expand our customer offering whilst remaining true to our original goal of providing competitive trucking services backed by our friendly, knowledgeable and experienced staff.”
Mr Vieira added: “This change of ownership will ultimately result in better products and services for our customers as we will have more resources available as additional trucks and dumpsters in a variety of sizes are added to the fleet.”
He said QRS will continue to operate from its Industrial Park Road, Southampton location and the existing team remains in place.
