Ignite Bermuda is accepting applications for the seventh cohort of its entrepreneurial accelerator programme.

The free programme will run from July until early December, with applications accepted online until April 21.

Entrepreneurial leaders in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors, who have an idea or who are looking to scale, are invited to apply – there are no academic qualifications or business plans required.

The organisation offers up to 34 seats to its core accelerator programme, which will commence with an online preparatory session in June. This is where successful applicants meet their fellow cohort for the first time and prepare for their Ignite journey.

The programme begins in earnest with a two-day boot camp at the beginning of July consisting of workshops and a panel with a group of entrepreneurs from previous cohorts sharing their experience on topics such as mindset and behaviours, lean start-up, business modelling, and more.

Ignite said boot camp gives entrepreneurs the opportunity to set the foundation and build camaraderie among their peers and the Ignite team.

During the core programme, participants have access to the Hub, a collaborative workspace located in the heart of Hamilton, a network of volunteer experts and mentors, as well as one-to-one enablement coaches.

Ignite asks that participants commit to at least four hours a week in the Hub, inclusive of mastermind groups, enablement sessions and two-hour workshops every other week facilitated by industry experts.

A second stream of the accelerator programme, the Fuel Your Ambition Series, offers up to 40 spots to applicants who are not offered a seat on the core programme.

This five-month-long series of monthly workshops is offered online and focuses on key concepts aimed at developing an entrepreneurial mindset and continued growth.

Participants gain access to a network of like-minded individuals who in turn offer 1:1 peer mentorship and support.

Ignite said the Fuel Series is an opportunity to build relationships and take the next step on an entrepreneur’s journey with the support of Ignite in a less intensive environment than its core programme.

The organisation said both streams offer a transformational opportunity over a five-month period for entrepreneurs and community leaders to focus on the growth of themselves and their organisations.
