Security Associates partners with US college
Security Associates is working with Thomas College in Maine, to extend graduate education to its employees.
The partnership offers a tuition discount for certain online graduate programmes to support the professional growth of Security Associate’s more than 200 employees.
Carlton Crockwell, Security Associates chief executive officer, said: “We have a strong commitment to our employees to provide opportunities for growth, whenever we can.
“Partnering with Thomas College is an amazing way to do just that, giving our employees access to further their education and training. We are excited to see the growth for everyone who partakes.”
Mikaela Ziobro, Thomas College senior director of Graduate and Professional Studies commented: “We’ve partnered with almost a dozen organisations in the US to offer their employees discounted graduate programme opportunities and we’re excited to partner with our first international organisation.”
Thomas College is the alma mater of other Bermudians, including recent alumni Shaquille Trott MBA in the class of 2016 and the 2018 MBA London Steede-Jackson.
Mr Trott, a risk and capital analyst at Catalina Re, said his MBA gave him a head start.
He said: “I came out of college with the tools that a lot of people have to learn on the job. This helped me to stand out and move up fairly quickly.”
Mr Steede-Jackson, an assistant broker, also said he had a great experience with the master’s programme.
He added: “I would encourage everyone to take the master’s programme at Thomas. The professors are amazing and really work with you to achieve this degree from an amazing institution.”
The school offers five online MBA programmes and certificates of advanced study with concentrations in cybersecurity, human resource management, and project management.
