The Island Restaurant Group has been named the Top Employer in the 2023 RG Top Ten Employer Awards, presented by PwC in its twelfth year as presenting sponsor.

IRG also won the Diversity Award, presented by the Bermuda Human Resource Association.

Philip Barnett, director and president of IRG, accepted the award presented by Jonathan Howes, president and CEO of Bermuda Press Holdings Limited, publisher of The Royal Gazette.

The awards were handed out during the traditional breakfast ceremony at the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club yesterday morning.

The 2022 winner, the law firm Carey Olsen, this year placed second, while another international law firm, Walkers, placed third.

The first-time participant, Sun Life, and the Bermuda Commercial Bank rounded out the top five.

The survey is conducted by Global Research, using a proprietary Net Promoter Score that highlights areas of business that resonate most with employees in the employee-employer relationship.

Businesses are encouraged to visit The Royal Gazette website over the coming week to see videos of the individual participants accepting their awards.

A 16-page supplement is included with today’s edition as a keepsake of the event.
